BIR’s Kim Henares: “In Corona's 2002 and 2003 SALNs, nine properties in Marikina City were not declared while the La Vista property in Quezon City was undervalued.
Corona should have declared a net worth of P14 million instead of P3 million in both years.
Corona’s net worth was again under-declared in 2004, from P21 million to P7 million.
In the years 2005 and 2006, Corona should have declared a net worth of P31 million instead of P8 million.
For 2007, Corona’s net worth was supposed to be P24 million and not P11 million.
For 2008, it should be P25 million and not P12 million.
But the biggest discrepancy in Corona’s 2009 SALN where his net worth was just P14.5 million. It was supposed to be P52 million because of the purchase of the Bellagio property in Taguig City."
Defense counsel Serafin Cuevas: “Strike out the statements of Henares. She is not competent to testify on the truthfulness of the SALNs.”
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile accepted Henares’ testimonies and told the defense that they can counter the claims when their time to present evidence comes.
